Description
I worked on this for 3 days straight. Stayed up until 4am last night and finished it a few minutes ago. I can say with confidence that this is my best work. Probably the best painting I have ever done and if I don't win I'll know it wasn't because I didn't do my best, because this is it.
I'd say a total of 12 hours were put into this over the course of 3 days. Maybe more.
Also as a neat coincidence the 21st is my birthday so if I win it'll be like my birthday present :'D

This piece was all done on one layer 100% in SAI.
She is taking a stroll through a dried creek bed if you couldn't tell.

She was as delicate and beautiful as a flower, and just as prized.
Natane is rearguard as the forest goddess by many other babs for she is as beautiful and elusive as the gods themselves. She spends all her time in the deep of the forest and few ever set eyes upon her. She has a select few babs that she is close to, and that she will reveal herself to, but it is a rarity for any stranger to catch a sight of her. Strangers that do happen to gaze upon her find her beauty stunning, but Natane rarely ever indulges in the desires of others. When she was a young bab her heart was scarred by careless strangers, and she is much more guarded now then before.
A sort of test is put up to any would be suiter. She always runs form them and if they pursue her and don't give up the chase. (provided they can keep up with her.) she will consider them as a mate. Although no suiter has yet to pass this test. Natane knows the woods better than any bab and can escape sight very easily.
Many are amazed with her affinity with nature and all it's living creatures. Natane values every life within the forest and is sort of thought of as its guardian. It is extremely rare to see her outside of the thick of the forest trees. She is very timid and shy and doesn't really like to be around others much.
